I really liked this edit. It manages to transform H:Ressurection from a mess to a enjoyable movie. It get rid of various fillers and the narrative is straight to the point. Some moments I think could have been cut just for narrative purposes like the killing of the guy with the tripod. I always tought was strange that Michael was there all the time hiding and waiting the kids. Cutting the scene of the guy with tripod could look like Michael arrived later in the house coming from the mental hospital. But overall is a great edit! The new music added are way better that the original cut! And no Busta Rhymes kicking Michael ass with kung fu! Thank God! A great fanedit by Ryantology! Check it out!
This edit saves as much as possible with this movie. It was dogshit upon release, and I'd say it's impossible to make it a really good movie. However, that being said, this edit creates a feeling that was there in many of the other Halloween movies, but was absent in Resurrection. That 'feeling' is fear. I'd like to say that this movie wasn't at ALL scary. That, and the fact that it was released in July just... bothers me. It does a very good job in maintaining audio quality while replacing music and cutting scenes that NEEDED to be changed. The fact that the studio never caught on to that just blows my mind. I really appreciate this edit and I definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to see a non-garbage Resurrection. Either that, or if you haven't watched Resurrection yet, then I suggest you view this copy instead.
I enjoyed this edit way more than the released version as this edit saves as much of the movie as possible. By eliminating as much of the awful comedic bits possible and adding musical pieces from previous Installments this actually improves the atmosphere. This edit creates a feeling of fear that should be had towards Michael Myers as in the original he is seen as a joke. It does a very good job in maintaining audio quality while replacing music and cutting scenes that needed to be changed.
I enjoyed this edit WAY More than the released version I saw years ago. While there are some things about the film that unfortunately can never be made better (The murder of Laurie Strode and everything that retcon's the H20 ending is still utter Crap) It does one thing that actually makes this a fun film to sit through: It makes Michael Myers Scary. By eliminating as much of the god awful comedic bits possible and adding musical pieces from previous Installments (And Scream 2) Ryantology actually makes the atmosphere tenser, Michael's Presence more intimidating and the characters more realistic and likable.
Again, while there are some things about the film that will make more casual fans of the films wanna skip over this (Which is Understandable), for Hardcore Halloween fans this is Major Improvement and one that I actually recommend seeing especially if you plan on having a marathon of the franchise.
Ryantology's edit of Halloween Resurrection is nothing short of fantastic, by removing pointless scenes and adding the classic Halloween music it turns arguably the worse Halloween movie into one of the better Halloween sequels I highly recommend this edit to anyone who is a fan of the Halloween series.
