Top-notch omnibus edit of the first 3 canonical Michael Myers movies. Especially excellent is the re-structuring of Halloween II to turn a cut-rate knock-off sequel into a mysterious and suspenseful masterpiece of dread. The voiceover transition from Part II to Part IV makes what could easily have been an awkward edit point into something seamless and even poetic.

It may not take the place of the original Halloween, which works more than fine as a standalone, obviously, but if you are looking to watch the old-school Myers chronology and want to save time/experience a more coherent storyline, this is absolutely the way to do it.

A wonderful attempt at combining a horror masterpiece and two of its best sequels into one exquisitely chilling package. An epic near three-hour slasher that fits ten years' worth of story and characters beautifully. Highly recommended for any Halloween fan.

This was quite a strong edit, staging a tragic cycle in Dr. Loomis and his battle against evil. The transitions between 1978's Halloween and its sequel are seamless, and the narrative is focused well on Loomis and Laurie in their continued battle against Michael Myers. The transition into Part 4 works just as well, reflecting the plight in saving Jamie from the fate that plagued her mother. If I had any note, it would be that Michael's pursuit of Laurie in the hospital still drags some, particularly in the scene where she is struggling to ward off the sedative. That may help alleviate the runtime of a still thoroughly enjoyable edit.

I'm a huge fan of the Halloween series, and I had a fun time with this edit! If you're in the mood to binge through the Halloween franchise in a day and want to speed up the process, this edit is great. I wouldn't say it's the definitive way to watch these movies, more so an alternate way.

Anytime you try to combine three movies, it's going to be a nightmare in creating a coherent plot. Thankfully, the first two movies take place on the same night and flow together seamlessly. But what is maybe the most impressive part of this edit is how 2 transitions into 4, with the voice over from Loomis. That was done expertly! I was worried that this wouldn't feel like a single cohesive film, but it actually flows quite nicely, and the ending scene being a mirror of the opening scene gives this 3 hour Halloween epic a beautiful bookend!

If you want to see Halloween 1+2 go see "The Doctor Cut" If you want to add 4 into the mix then you are adding too much.
The Halloween franchise has a history of telling a story and then erasing what happened for the sequel this behavior started with Halloween 4 which gave the definitive ending to the sister trilogy, until they erased that ending in Halloween 5

Halloween 4 wants you to forget how strong and brutal was the ending of Halloween 2 for the story to work which you might have forgotten in the 7 years that have passed but in this fan edit the transition to Halloween 4 is a few seconds,
If I combined all the 3 films I would erase most of the scenes from Halloween 2 so the plot would make sense when I reach the parts from Halloween 4, but the editor chose to tell the story of all 3 films, and he does so well with a smooth transition so I can still recommend it to people who want to watch all the terror Michael Myers brought to Lauri (before the reboot) just don't think about the last hour too much
