This was a very necessary edit. It's harder to enjoy the movie with to many last minute jokes. Would suggest Ragnarok be Pruned next.

My experience with the theatrical cut of GotG:V2 was excruciating. There were so many "wrong" moments, unbearably awkward, or just out of character. I remember especially disliking Drax because his character was so horribly treated.
rb's fanedit saved this film for me. It trimmed nearly all of the cringe-worthy scenes, and did it seamlessly. Well done. It is the definitive copy for me, at least until rb releases a "Chopped Edition"... :)
In short: Highly recommended.

I haven't seen GOTG Vol. 2 since the cinema, so since its been almost a year between viewings, I had forgotten most of the jokes. This edit seemlessly removes most of those jokes without me noticing. I only remembered a few that were cut (Mantis being ugly, Nebula buying a new hat, Taserface, etc.) but I don't remember the majority. Somehow, RB has cut over 16 minutes of film, without feeling like anything is missing, which is something many fanedits
rarely do. One of my only complaints is that the audio sounded compressed, but the editor has talked about this. I only watched this on my TV without any fancy surround system, so I don't mind it being in 2.0 instead of 5.1.

Overall, a very well done first time edit that instantly replaces the theatrical version for me and I look forward to RB's future endevours.

I’m pretty new to this review thing, so yeah. I have to say, at first I thought the jokes I loved were going to be mostly cut. But after I watched this brilliant edit, I realised that was not true. rb has successfully streamlined the movie, cut the most obnoxious overused jokes, but leaves some of the best in. Unfortunately, I let one star off the enjoyment tab as a few of my favourite jokes/things were cut, but it wasn’t much gone, and rb substitutes that with many improvements to the GotG2.

And seriously, rb has done a really amazing job. Much of my problems with his movie are the overused jokes which gave me an “uh…” feeling. The emotional and beautiful moments now feel amazing and no longer get crushed with jokes. Overall, this pruned edition is stellar and definitely replaces my copy. Great job, rb!

A clear improvement on the original.

GOTG2 felt too long and was full of "the jokes worked well in part 1, let's cram as many as we can into the sequel." The Pruned Edition removes the lamer jokes and tightens the pacing, making the remaining ones stronger. In the process it reduces the runtime enough that the film no longer feels overly long.

The editing is flawless. The stereo mix is adequate, though high-bitrate surround would have been nice (as rb already acknowledged in the forum).

In short: this is the version to watch!
