Nice to revisit in extended form after not watching for a good few years, definitely pick up more than when I was the age of the target audience! Shame about the poor quality of one restored scene but that is hardly Bobson's fault, likewise some of the differences in audio from the different sources too.

Found the cropping to 1:78:1 worked most of the time but there were quite a few occasions where it was obvious; probably have preferred a version which pillarboxed the deleted footage, particularly when it was obviously different from the rest already.

Would have to rewatch the original again to see if I prefer it or this one but that for putting this together regardless, let's hope that the story of discovery and restoration of lost footage for other films (including Goonies director Richard Donner's "Superman" 3-hour cut) will be repeated here too.

GOONIES is one of my all time favourite Movies.
I watched it so many times, that my first version on VHS died over it.

So, when there is a chance to see a fuller Version, i jumped for it and this edit is done very good.
Yes there is this once VHS Scenes that sufferd but and when you can let go you will have the joy of seeing something integrated that is otherwise lost.

Great Movie, Great edit and another example of fixing a classic to make it better.

Another great edit by Bobson Dugnutt. A few scenes suffered from low quality, but of course, the editor isn't at fault.

I somehow went my whole life without watching this movie so decided to make this my first viewing of it. No comments other than it was the usual great job of editing the scenes back where they belonged like they never left.

I was watching my mate on twitch the other night and we got to discussing goonies and we decided to give it a watch! But rather than chuck my copy in, I suggested this edit, and I am SO glad I did!!

We were both howling with laughter, because lets face it, The Goonies is an ultimate CLASSIC! But it was so good to see the restored content! As soon as something was new I was able to pin point it due to watching the Blu Ray version regularly! And it was really enjoyable watching scenes that I had never even seen before. Always baffles me when they add cut material into different TV versions!

I loved this edit from start to finish, the video editing is brilliant, there really is only one scene that has a degrade in quality, but its edited in so well, it makes no difference really. The audio, I don't know if it was just me, but certain parts seemed to be louder than others and I had to turn it up, then turn it back down again. Either way it wasn't too distracting.

This will now be my go to version of the film, nothing felt out of place or that it should be cut. Well.... maybe the dancing octopus... but... who doesn't love a dancing octopus? I'd have definitely put it back in, just adds that extra bit of zany to an already WHACKY movie!

Loved it! Thanks again Bobson for a top notch edit!
