Watching this in today's climate felt so strange. Almost like I was watching a propaganda film anglicizing those committing a genocide. I d0n't quite remember the full story of this war section of the show, it's been a very long time since I sat down and watched the entire series, but the story this short tells is both horrifying and saddening. From a technical perspective, this is flawless. I didn't notice any issues or cuts. Extremely good work telling a very strange and depressing slice-of-life story.

Objectively: This is a simple and concise short made up of material relating to the Ishval war in Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood. I didn't notice any transitions and on a technical level everything seems well put together. This works very well as a standalone short.

Subjectively: I didn't care much for the series when I saw it, and so I can't say this was really for me. The narrative is heavy-handed and melodramatic, and I can't say I'm a fan of the dubbing. It's a shame that the Japanese track wasn't included as an option (there were two audio tracks, but both seemed to be dub?). I'm sure that anyone who IS a fan of the series will get more out of it, as it is well put together.
