Godfather: Don Vito's Opus, The

Read the book for the first time this month, I was struck that this was the story of two Godfathers, not one. I so love this project by Wraith. He is taken a story of three movies and made it the story of two Godfathers. We get to see two (anti)hero's journeys with more focus and clarity than the original movies. I love the original movies and this project only helps me appreciate these movies in a different way: one man's rise and fall...followed by a sequel of one man's fall and redemption.

What can I say? This is simply amazing. My favourite film made even better. Wraith has put an immense amount of hard work and effort into this cut and it is simply outstanding. I do enjoy the chronologic cuts of this movie as well as the normal cuts of the movie, however I think Wraith's version is probably my favourite of the lot now. I do like to switch between both cuts now and again and this edit just give it a much better way to watch it with a lot of the deleted scenes included. This is simply an offer you can't refuse!

There is no point in me telling you, what Wraith did, in detail. What i want to share in short is this:
WRAITH´s Versions did something to me, they Reopened those Movies, that i have watched countless times.
triggered by my father (italian heritage) i was watching The Godfather 1&2 many times freom a young age.
Everytime, while i grew up, more and more opened up - i understood more of the meanings and feelings of the characters, and in the movementes of the older version of Don Vito, i saw my (than aged) dad.

I am emotional about these movies, since they have played a big part in my youth and still do.
The "new" Versions are the best i have ever seen. I experienced some scenes like never before.
Dialouge hit me more, cuts and sound and chronology are flawless.

I strongly recomend these versions to everyone that just feels a shrad love for the OG Cuts -
Wraith teleports The Godfather on a pedestal that might stand forever !!!!

Wraith is a genius. Wow, everything about this is incredible. Also, he/she is very polite and quick to respond to messages. AMAZING.

Quite simply one of the best Fan Edits I have ever watched in my life. It's simply one of those that will be spoken off for years to come.

When you have such a masterclass like The Godfather, great care and attention is needed to compile such a mammoth project.
Wraith's precise and delicate editing of this masterclass film deserves to be watched by all movie fanatics alike.

Do I recommend it?
Yes, absolutely! I think most people are not able to watch the full thing in one go, however there are intermission points within the films that people can pause and come back to.
