I was really curious to check this edit out, since Ghostbusters (2016) was among my least favourite films of the year. Happy to report that TM2YC has performed some sort of miraculous feat of fanediting magic and turned it into an enjoyable film. The added material works extremely well (although I did feel the pacing was a tad sluggish at times), and anchoring the characters so that they are not ALL trying to be funny one all the time worked really well.

Highlights included hearing the Ghostbusters theme properly as the girls went into action, and toning down some of the more egregious stupidity of the original release. Here's looking at you, Bill Murray. I would have liked even more of Kevin's idiocy cut out, but it didn't ruin the enjoyment of the movie.

I can say with certainty that this is the only version of this film I will ever watch in future.

First of all I hated the Ghostbusters remake. So, when I realized TM2YC did a fanedit I was curious to see it because I enjoyed a lot his fanedit of Judge Dredd and also because I was curious to see how he would improve such a bad film as this. Well, this edit is very good considering the original material! It makes the film "better" (well, at least more acceptable). The new music added was a great choice as the joke with the "Ghost" song! and He cuts a lot of unecessary jokes (mostly the improv ones). I think more stuff could be cut like the dancing of Abby and Erin, and the original Ghostbusters cast cameos (only the Bill Murray one is cut) and I think this edit should have another title like "Ghostbusters: Next Generation", "New Team" or something like that rather than "3", only because the remake has no connection with the previous films. But this edit really made the film better! It is another great work by TM2YC!

I saw Ghostbusters in theaters expecting the worst and came out pleasantly surprised. I expected a 3 or 4 out of 10 and got something closer to a 6/10. I felt at the time that the things holding it back were jokes that were too over the top or inappropriate for the moment, a lack of chemistry between the characters, and a strangely paced/written third act. This edit I feel fixed the majority of those the problems I had with this film, and brings it to a solid 8/10 in my book. I still feel like the third act prevents the film from being excellent, but a fan edit can only accomplish so much. Overall very impressed and this will be my go to version of the film. Thanks for your hard work!

I didn't watch Ghostbuster on the theaters, I just got to see the extended version on Blu-ray, which it was said to be better than the one shown on cinemas. So I kinda liked the movie already. I mean, it was not the original, but it has its great moments. But it surely got its bads too.

And TM2YC got that feeling away. With this edit I think it was much more wins. Some over the top scenes, stretched jokes and SNL-like gags were cutted down and made the flow of the movie goes really well. There were better character development and the jokes fell like on character too, not out of place as some did on the original version.

It will surely be my go to whenever I fell like watching it again. Way more enjoyable.

I'm going to be honest here, and say I have been pretty neutral on the whole GB remake storm on the internet. I saw the trailer, snickered a bit at one or two jokes and thought nothing much else of it. So going into this edit I didn't have much to go on, since I never even saw the theatrical release, but with all of that said I really found a great deal of enjoyment here! A good sense of pacing and flow is to be found, no noticeable cuts at all to things like improv gags or even axing Bill Murray's cameo. Changes to the music were of course good choices and had a clean execution to them, adding a sense that we are watching a new GB movie with a fun atmosphere about it. Using the extended cut was a smart move, in adding a bit more to character like the added scene between Erin and Abby at the university. Are there still problems that exist with the script/story? Most likely, but there's only so much you can do with the tools at your disposal. Is there anything cringe worthy left in this cut? One or two small things, like Abby/Erin's dancing ghost presentation (but again not a deal breaker). This, IMO is a very suitable replacement for anyone who felt the original cut was a slap in the face, or heck even if you liked the theatrical version. Definitely recommended!
