Ghostbusters III

1 star enjoyment, you can't polish a turd.

I commend TM2YC for going through the struggle of doing a fan edit of this film. I can't imagine the time put in to make sure every fart or dick joke was removed. It makes the movie about 1% more tolerable, so it is still unwatchable. The characters are constantly trying to say something more wacky than the last and sometimes are even mumbling improvised lines. Leslie Jones has a few funny moments, so props to her. This film could probably be enjoyed by children and maybe big fans of the famous female cast members.

Everything relating to fan-edit audio/video quality control is 10/10.

Well what can I say? Amazed!
TM2YC set out to do what this edit achieved, making the Ghostbusters reboot better, tighter and much more enjoyable to watch.

Video & Audio Quality was flawless, no problems with the HD picture or the 5.1 audio.
Visual Editing was excellent, the cuts were so good I needed to re-read the cut/change list afterward viewing just to make sure they were the work of TM2YC or not.
The Audio Editing was again excellent work, even with the added FX and music was not noticeable.

Overall - The movie itself was still bad (4/10), but this edit makes this movie a decent (7/10) and I'd view this edit over the original any day.

The road to the Ghostbusters reboot was, at best, a rocky one. Constant rewrites, the death of Harold Ramis, and the amount of backlash upon release of the film's trailer should've been warning signs, but I stayed positive. I saw the movie in theaters and it just left me cold. I hadn't seen it since, but then I heard of this particular edit and I became curious. To me, it seemed impossible: Fix the movie and make it good? No way... Well, yes way. What has been done is nothing short of a miracle. TM2YC salvaged one of the most broken films in recent memory and delivered a film that stands on its own two feet as well as with the first two GB films. It truly is the version that deserved to be in theaters. Keep it up, TM2YC!

First of all I hated the Ghostbusters remake. So, when I realized TM2YC did a fanedit I was curious to see it because I enjoyed a lot his fanedit of Judge Dredd and also because I was curious to see how he would improve such a bad film as this. Well, this edit is very good considering the original material! It makes the film "better" (well, at least more acceptable). The new music added was a great choice as the joke with the "Ghost" song! and He cuts a lot of unecessary jokes (mostly the improv ones). I think more stuff could be cut like the dancing of Abby and Erin, and the original Ghostbusters cast cameos (only the Bill Murray one is cut) and I think this edit should have another title like "Ghostbusters: Next Generation", "New Team" or something like that rather than "3", only because the remake has no connection with the previous films. But this edit really made the film better! It is another great work by TM2YC!

I saw Ghostbusters in theaters expecting the worst and came out pleasantly surprised. I expected a 3 or 4 out of 10 and got something closer to a 6/10. I felt at the time that the things holding it back were jokes that were too over the top or inappropriate for the moment, a lack of chemistry between the characters, and a strangely paced/written third act. This edit I feel fixed the majority of those the problems I had with this film, and brings it to a solid 8/10 in my book. I still feel like the third act prevents the film from being excellent, but a fan edit can only accomplish so much. Overall very impressed and this will be my go to version of the film.
