Brief Synopsis:
This fanedit improves on the original movie by removing the annoying interview scenes and by adding in some of the deleted scenes.
Intention:
To remove the documentary style interviews and incorporate some of the deleted scenes.
Additional Notes:
I’m a huge Charlie Kaufman fan so I didn’t want to mess with this too much. I never liked the interview segments – they should’ve been left in the bonus features – and I really liked some of the deleted scenes. Nothing too drastic, but a preferred version of the movie, for me at least. I tried my best to clean up the deleted scenes with vdub. They don’t look perfect, but they’re as good as I could get them.

- added a musical score to the “Day of the Dead Parade” and “The Killing of Renda” scenes from the OST

*This is an old edit (~4 GB file) so I've scored the A/V quality according to a DVD source.

I really enjoyed the removal of the interview segments and the edits to the opening so that we're thrown straight into the madness of Barris, wondering how the hell he became that way, without any hint of his past successes or relationships. The deleted scenes were integrated perfectly and I didn't notice any audio or visual issues.

This edit will likely be my go-to for future viewings. Big thanks to adabisi for digging out such an old edit by request, and congrats on a job well done!

deleted scenes feel fine, so good work there. the interview segments are really not missed. great execution. …but entertainment of this film cannot really be saved, lol.
