Brief Synopsis:
The first two movies of Mad Max combined to one edit.
Intention:
Intention was to make one story of this, I started with the road warrior, then go back to the original and then further with sequel. The chase scene with the Nightrider is completely recut to make it a little different (suicide ride). Sound effects, music replacement, music overdubs, black and white (just one scene) I used it all in this cut to make a fast ride for approx two hours. Additional music from Marco Beltrami (T3) Simon Boswell (Hardware) and Tangerine Dream.

A well planned out edit as far as story goes. I liked the recut scene with The Night Rider, and it was nice to have both films together. Some things threw me off though. I didn't care for the new audio cues. They were mixed too loudly, and for me, some of the new songs were not fitting the tone of the film. I would have liked to see a "time passing" card between the two films, as it seems like Max meets the Pilot immediately after the 1st film ends (keeping in mind that society has degraded between the 2 films). Overall I enjoyed the edit, but it would not replace the originals. Thank you for breathing some new life into these!

I liked this edit. While I'm not too keen on the new music, the pacing is much better than the original, even if I'm not a fan of the 2 in 1 format.
