Man, this edit was fun! Grindhouse and Tarantino come together like mustard and tuna. Pushing things along to the Titty Twister was Buddha-level righteous and wise; there’s still enough time to get to know our protagoners and care for them, if that’s what some of you do. What’s left is almost pure gonzoness.
I enjoyed the scattered interviews. Only the first one (apologies to Michael Parks) ran a bit long. But that’s otay, man, fully effin’ otay, because it was only a minor speed bump on the road to per. . . purdish. . . aw, fuck it.
Uberall, a joy to watch. The original movie’s bonkers inventiveness shines via Leeroy’s dragging it through the flour. Rating: 9.5 rounded up.
Postscript: The trailer for Boss N was touching and dear. It brought moisture to my eyes.
