This edit cuts out what I consider to be the most egregiously silly bits in SUPERMAN IV, and cuts in portions of the deleted footage from the extras (which is in execrable condition, BTW) that helped fill out the story. Of course, this still leaves plenty of dumb stuff in the movie. But the entire plot is essentially two parts dumb to one part tedious, so if one were to cut out all of the "dumb" one would only be left with a very short, tedious film. My hope is that I've kept enough of the dumb stuff to make the viewing experience at least bearable.

This is a 3 film in 1 edit running at 3 hours 25 minutes. This is not intended as a "book cut" but instead tries to imagine what Peter Jackson and Co. might have made if they had decided to do the story as one film.

My goal is not to make the film more like Lord of the Rings in tone, but in spirit. The gag-filled action scenes that Peter Jackson has become fond of are minimized, except when appropriate. It feels more epic. The pacing is quicker. It feels more in line with those films, while also becoming even more different from them.

This edit is as close to the original book's storyline as possible. Scenes had to be rearranged and all (but one) of the Oompa-Loompa-Songs were put at the end of each chapter. Nearly everything that doesn't happen in the book is cut.

'The Desolation of Smaug' is the second movie in a trilogy that should never have existed. While mildly entertaining, it was overly long, with ridiculous elements not found in the original book. Instead of being created as a prequel it was conceived as a sequel to Lord of the Rings, giving it inherent issues that impeded on the literates' ability to enjoy the film.

This became an experiment in "Less is more". Cutting the story into half-hour episodes, keeping the pacing going, and "Ralpherizing" the Video to give it that cartoon look.

The beginning chapter of the story of the world's most beloved wizard, Harry Potter, gets a complete overhaul. Making it better fit with both the picture and sound, while also establishing a cohesive narrative on which to base the rest of the franchise.

Pacific Rim is one of the best and most memorable films from Guillermo Del Toro (Cronos, Devil's Backbone, Pan's Labyrinth, Hellboy), and is easily the best 'monsters vs. giant robots' movie to date. However, as imaginative as Del Toro's film is, it suffers from a flawed and distracting subplot involving a pair of over-the-top scientists. This cut removes the superfluos material to keep the movie focused on the Jaegers, their pilots and their Kaiju nemesis.

With a well publicised troubled production Terry Gilliam's 'The Brothers Grimm' is in Terry's own words "Not the film they wanted and it's not quite the film I wanted". The "They" in this case would be The Brothers Weinstein, the film's producers, whose on-set arguments with Terry got so bad that production was even shut down while things calmed down.

Still what remains is by most other Director's standards, a great film. A decade later it's stood the test of time and it reflects well on Gilliam that he cast actors like Matt Damon and the late Heath Ledger against-type in the lead roles, at a time when they perhaps weren't taken as seriously as today. Plus giving future 'Game Of Thrones' star Lena Headey the female lead, seems like genius in retrospect. I felt it was time to take another look at this wonderfully loopy and fanciful film through the prism of fanediting...

Using all the available 'Deleted Material' and hints provided in Terry's Director's Commentary, I've tried to bring this film a little closer to the longer and
crazier cut that Terry originally might have wished to have seen the light of day. Hopefully this cut is also better, less mainstream and more like Terry's other work.

The available 'Deleted Material' was excellent but only available in a very poor and largely unfinished state. So as much as was possible, I've tried to finish VisFX, complete the Soundmix and Colour-Grade the footage to match the body of the movie. However, the scenes are still in a less than perfect state, which is why I call this...

The Desolation of Smaug is Peter Jackson's adaptation of the middle third of JRR Tolkien's The Hobbit. Despite some incredible visuals and fine performances, it was too long and encumbered by many scenes that not only slowed the film, but also were completely invented for the film and deviated from the novel significantly. "Fire of the Dragon" is an earlier edit of this film, where I cut out all the extra made-up-for-the movie padding that stretched a perfectly good 2 hour movie into almost three. 'Dragon' was a version that didn't drag and had good pacing, and is what I feel the Theatrical cut should have been--I emphasize that because a lot of the material I liked from the actual movie and I felt made it entertaining (namely, the barrel fight and the dragon showdown in the end) are left intact in Dragon-- I just felt those made the movie more fun and gave it the feel of adventure it needed.

However, I strongly agree with a lot of the criticism of both the original film and my first cut, in that these things (1) were a little over-the-top at times, and (2) still never happened in the book. So I decided to go ahead and make further changes to produce a "purist cut" of the movie. Instead of just being a watered down version of "Dragon", I trimmed more, reordered certain scenes, and made a new opening for it, as well as a new title.

This is as close as Desolation comes to being a 'book' cut of Tolkien's the Hobbit.

This is the lean version which retains all the greatness of the movie and drops all the fluff, making it a better paced and more entertaining movie overall. Fire of the Dragon dispenses with many superfluous elements of the film like the elf-dwarf love triangle, the dwarves being left behind in Laketown, the orc assault on Laketown, as well as any other deviations from the main narrative.

Captain John Carter of Virginia finds himself mysteriously projected to the world of Barsoom and made capitive of the savage green men of Thark. With him is Dejah Thoris, the beautiful and brilliant Princess of Helium. Together, they must learn the secret of the evil Matai Shang and The Holy Therns in order to save both of their worlds!

This is a trimmed down and dynamic version of the extended version of An Unexpected Journey. This fanedit is great for someone who has never seen LOTR. It doesn't give anything away from the later films and creates an exciting movie that doesn't pander to the audience. I wanted this to be a movie where someone can start from, not a prequel just for people that are LOTR fans.

A drastically trimmed down telling of the Star Wars prequel story. This edit combines all three Star Wars prequels into one feature length cut that removes many of the silly elements of the original films. It focuses the narrative more on Obi-Wan Kenobi and away from Anakin and Padme.

'Thor - The Dark World' with the narrative in a more logical order, so scenes now flow from one to the other naturally. A new ending has been created more in keeping with the narrative thrust of both this film and the first 'Thor' movie. Repetitious exposition scenes either removed, truncated or used at a point in the story where they actually make sense. Also two deleted scenes have been colour corrected and added back.

Presented in a remastered HD version and with a new DTS 5.1 audio mix, this new cut should please everyone who's ever enjoyed Roald Dahl's unique style, by making what is arguably the best film based on R. Dahl's work an even more faithful adaptation.

Season 1 of "Captain N: The Game Master" is cut down from thirteen 23-minute episodes into an 86-minute, self-contained movie that can be assumed to bring the story to a close without the need to view later seasons.

This is ‘Milo & Otis’ synced up to a Pink Floyd masterpiece.

‘Milo & Otis’ is a Japanese film about a cat and dog swept up in hazardous adventures in the wild. ‘Animals’ is a progressive rock album by Pink Floyd, inspired in part by George Orwell’s ‘Animal Farm’. It takes aim at politics, with deeper themes of life and death, manipulation, greed, blind faith and power. And it’s pretty rocking.

A less bloated, better-paced and more character-driven introduction to Peter Jackson’s vision of Middle-earth. Most of the fat has been trimmed, while still keeping all the characters and plot points that will have some bearing on the next two films.

The original season 1 of Buffy is full of monster-of-the-week episodes that do little to develop the season's main themes and characters. This movie I made of the first season takes the important themes and brings them to life in a story that makes sense as a movie.
In order to do that I took the liberty to change some of the story, restructure other parts and give new meaning to certain characters.

As the Galactica Fleet follows the path toward Earth given to them by the mysterious beings of light, they encounter new forces which may bring their salvation, or a new oppressive force as dangerous as the Cylons. As the opposing sides fight for supremacy within the Terran System, Adama must decide the course of action for the destiny of not only their own people, but the destiny of Terra.

I set out to create a leaner, cleaner first part to The Hobbit. I do not demand purism relative to the book; instead, I insist on solid storytelling. Although I've cut most sequences that looked outright ridiculous, I kept Radagast and several other features that don't appear in the book or are more directed toward children, but which contribute to the story. Azog is gone, save only in an appearance as the angry orc in pursuit of Thorin & Company after the death of the Goblin King, the flashbacks are much condensed and differently placed, Frodo is gone, and we are left with a quicker and more magical return to Tolkien’s famous novel.

This edit is only about a quarter of an hour as it features only the cream of the madness from this notorious TV Show. Including Princess Leia singing, avant-garde alien dance, Wookiee pornography, drinking through the top of your head, a cooking lesson from an alien drag-queen in blackface, a bar of drunken aliens and a Stormtrooper rubbing a ceramic penis.

The green dull look that dominated most scenes has been removed as much as possible, resulting in a more dynamic visual style. Awkward dialogue, events contrary to the Harry Potter universe, out of character behaviour, and a few visually unpleasant shots have been cut. Five deleted scenes have been added which improve the plot and relationships.

The classic 1951 version of A Christmas Carol rendered more faithful to its literary source via the removal of the events created specifically for the screen, and visually reshaped for a fresh viewing experience.

With more than 730 rewritten subtitles, this edit profanely and absurdly alters the story of the original Mandarin-language film. Eastern martial arts and western medieval fantasy are hustled into a lush honeymoon suite where they must show each other their privates.
Orcs and zombies now populate this movie. Why? Because the subtitles say so.

This separates PAN’S LABYRINTH into two different movies. One is the fantasy edition without the rebellion drama. The other one is the rebellion drama without any fantasy.

This gives CG Kong a classic look while improving the overall pace of the movie. The plot focuses now on the three D’s (Denham, Darrow, Driscoll).

The sequence of several events on Skull Island have been altered in order to try and pick up the pace of the film and to be more like the original 1933 version.

This version follows the “Renegade Edition” sequence of events but restores the theatrical story and plot lines.

This edit removes much of the overdone love story components of the film, refocusing it into a more serious take on the story.

An exciting 90 minute version of Deathly Hallows Part 1 that does away with four inconsequential subplots, some extraneous lines and scenes, and all but 10 minutes of camping, in the pursuit of a more whimsical, action-adventure oriented beginning to Harry Potter’s grand movie finale.

This fan editing exercise removes most of the Gaia environmental message, tightens up the pace for a more exciting ride, exorcises awkward romantic subplot and reworks the ending.
