Brief Synopsis:
Based on the workprint, this extended cut of Willard finally gives you the complete movie to enjoy.
Intention:
This edit of the film is based on a bootleg of the original R-rated workprint of the film. Fortunately, most of the scenes that were cut from this version were present in great quality on the deleted scenes section of the commercial DVD. The edit was created with the intent of bringing the film closer to the director's original vision, before the studio requested it be recut to a PG-13 film.
Cuts and Additions:
ADDITIONS:
- A long scene between Willard and Cathryn at the office, working after hours. Very nice character showcase.
- A scene of Willard’s mother almost catching him as he’s leaving to sicc the rats on Mr. Martin’s car.

ALTERATIONS:
- An alternate shot featuring Mr. Martin’s assistant cursing the fact she has to give him a foot massage.
- Mr. Martin is now seen attending Willard’s mother’s funeral.
- The original version of Willard getting fired is re-instated. This features harsher language by Mr. Martin.
- Longer scene of Cathryn in the bathroom, and Willard finding Scully the cat’s mutilated corpse.
- An extended version of the ending.

I enjoyed this edit overall. In a nutshell this restores all of the r-rated footage that was cut in order for the film to have a pg-13 rating. The workprint was an R and the dvd has most of this footage n it as a bonus, which is what was used for this special edit. It brings out the film’s true darker visuals and this is the edition that should have been released theatrically to begin with– Thanks Ratman wherever you are
