Conceptually and as far as the narrative goes, I enjoyed this edit quite a bit. Unfortunately I found the edit's film damage effects unconvincing and fairly distracting. Cool idea though.

When love turns sour, there's a lot of residual pain. This short explores the notion of removing that pain. But like Kirk said - "They're the things we carry with us, the things that make us who we are. If we lose them, we lose ourselves." I think that sums up the surreal experience that follows. Removing the bad means removing the context for the good memories that make us hurt. Interesting stuff. Film degradation/damage effects seem convincing to me.
