This is gonna be my ULTIMATE Lynch's Dune edition, unless Lynch ever makes his rumoured 4h plus director's cut (which I doubt). The theatrical release is cryptic for anyone who hasn't read the novel; the new mini-series has quite of the book but lacks a soul; Paramount dropped any project for a new Dune merchandise: what to do? Thank you then for this epic work: Lynch's visually inspired universe (sometimes borrowed from Jodorowsky's failed project, and his art designers Moebius and H.R. Giger) finally makes sense as a tale (not that far from Herbert's at all, though it's a pity that Baron Harkonnen was made that stupid). In the end, a nice adaptation of a sci-fi classic. Surely a must have.
Technically, a remarkable effort, especially if you consider that the deleted scenes (from both theatrical and TV extended editions) do have that horrible quality, which here is treated as much as possible. Same for little edits such as added blue eyes, nearly identical to Lynch's.
