you know what? i completely enjoyed this edit. tight pacing, disturbing, SCARY. an absolute nightmare. none of the removed scenes are missed, and frankly… this could have been cut even more. i think this is a perfect source for a much shorter ~30 minute edit.
cropping to widescreen really opens this movie up and gives you a perfect cinematic experience. i never thought i was missing any of the action by essentially seeing half of the movie screen. great idea. and drastic cropping (to 2.35:1 rather than just 1.85:1 or something) is probably the best choice here.
