Dark Knight Returns: The Book Cut, The

By far the definitive version of TDKR movies. The only small gripe is the "NO MORE" line from Batman fighting Joker is still in the fanedit, but for the most part, it removes every one of the superfluous flaws from the movies that I had problems with. Highly recommend this fanedit, and this will be my go-to from now on.

This edit of the DC Original Movie(s) is the definitive adaption of Frank Miller's work. If you love the original, this is 100% what you want, As a perk, the more source-accurate 30 min increments have the added bonus of not taking too much time, if you are short of it (like me, ha).

So, what could i say about this edit, other than: what a f***ing joy.
Didn’t liked the original animated movie two parter. As stated, voice acting is mediocre at best, redundant story telling.
This edit got rid of all what’s possible and created a nearly new watching experience. I’ve watched it as the book releases and this was just fantastic. The pacing, the on point finished narration for every book cut.

Well done mate, nothing what so ever i could imagine to criticize.

The wisest thing WB could do after releasing the awkward, uneven, and disappointing overall Dark Knight Returns two-parter would be canning it completely and making a new one in the style of the brilliant New Batman Adventures episode with Michael Ironside voicing Batman. That one got it completely right.

The second wisest thing would be to take this fanedit and give it official status. #ReleaseTheBlueyodaCut

For real, everything that can be fixed by editing is fixed here. Not much can be done about the conventional visuals (TDKR needs to play like an acid trip-ish Metal Hurlant issue for full effect) or the poor voice acting, but otherwise this turns mediocrity into greatness. Pacing is excellent, intrusive material is gone, and technically it's completely flawless. Very highly recommended for any Batman fan.

Was a fan of the movie before I actually read the graphic novel, but rewatching it again after made me not like it as much.
Now, however, BlueYoda's masterful fanedit makes it much more tight and great like the source material. It felt like an original production made by DC with the near seamless edits. Highly recommend!
