Daredevil: The Man Without Fear

I have a soft spot for the Daredevil movie (the Director's Cut is best), and really enjoyed this fanedit. Less cheese (e.g. removing the fight in the park, awful lines like "How do you kill a man without fear?” “By puttin’ the fear in him.” ), better narrative (e.g. replacing flashback structure with a proper chronology), less waffle (e.g. Bullseye in hospital), colour and music tweaks (e.g. Daredevil's "vision") and removal of poor effects (e.g. in the bar fight); there is now a strong development of Matt's character, and sense of his inner struggles, and the nods to Marvel and the comic generally also seem to stand out more clearly. Best version yet!

Amazing edit! As a fan of the Daredevil comics and the TV show, this edit really does the material justice and was much more entertaining to watch through. Taking out some of the really campy moments that I remember from the theatrical DVD version like the Elektra and Matt fight in the park really helped with fixing the tone of the movie. Speaking of Elektra the focus on the romance subplot is left more in the background and I love it- having it focus more on Matt's job as a lawyer was a good focus. Other elements I really love was the montage of Matt training by Stick, the removal of the fire in the bar thats shaped as the daredevil logo and the most important part that this edit did was have Daredevil not killing THANK YOU. I also love how UA embraces the dated, in its time feel with the music choices.

The only thing I would've liked to have seen is the Daredevil vs Bulleye moment to wrap things up in a neat bow but otherwise fantastic seamless editing that streamlines the plot and refines the tone. Fantastic work Uncanny Antman!

Very solid edit. Watched this a few years ago, I still remember the excellent intro credits and music. Pretty much all of the weak parts of this film were taken out, although I have a certain nostalgia for Daredevil so I was disappointed to not see the final fight between Daredevil & Bullseye included. I understand its exclusion though as it was unnecessary.

needless to say i went to watch this fanedit not expecting much considering both theatrical and director cuts of daredevil are not the best in the way of storytelling but after viewing i can say i really enjoyed the experience.quite a few of the corny lines and terrible cgi wirework shots have been removed,the story has been streamlined to keep the story flowing. i liked the updated musical choices in certain scenes , and the decision uncanny antman went with for the movie to end with the reporter not revealing he knew.
there was really only one scene i had trouble was when he asks electra her name in the cafe' she leaves without saying ,and in the very next scene affleck tells favaraux her name is elctra(i would have shown affleck @ computer printing out a piece of paper ,running his finger across braille and dubbed the word electra in).

i wonder if in the future there might be an electra fanedit, after watching this i know i would watch it. A solid edit worth a view or two.

I loved this edit. It's amazing how much better the movie is once you strip away most of the stupidity. Although, I would make these changes:

1: Have Daredevil kill the Kingpin, as the dialogue is stupid and he does not appear in the rest of the film.

2: Cut out Bullseye at the airport,so he get's a stronger character introduction in the bar scene.

3: Trim the disastrous day in court scene, as I thought it went on for too long.

Apart from that, excellent edit!
