Judge Dredd minus Rob Schneider's bad humor. Now his lines have been cut down so he's mostly there to help out Dredd a bit and piss him off, which works very well. He's a lot more like his character in Demolition Man, annoying in just the right amounts for the character to work. The romance bit at the end is also cut and a few other gags. Basically, if you hated everything about Judge Dredd, this will not fix the movie for you. If you enjoyed it but felt there was too much Schneider and bad humor, this will do the trick for you.

This was the first fanedit I've seen and it was fantastic! I've never seen the original version and while I could tell there was some stuff missing, the serious tone that was established from the first scene never really let up (which is what I think our faneditor set out to do). I also particularly enjoyed the explanation at the beginning of the rationale behind the edit and I really hope that Danny Cannon has seen this edit for himself!

i love this fanedit,
i am a massive judge dredd fan but was 100% saddened when this come out, it was like the studio and sly had never seen or heard of judge dredd, they pretty much spat on the comics,
but now TM2YC has redeemed the judge dredd name this is an excellent fanedit it all goes together so well, i love the look of this fanedit it makes everything look good even the horrible costumes TM2YC made all the right cuts this is going in my collection and will be watched regularly.
anyone wanting to see a good version of the 1995 version of judge dredd needs to get this version.
i would like to say thank you to TM2YC for giving me a good version of this film i love it

Having been disappointed by the excessive stupidity included in the original and an overly emotive characterisation of Dredd I was exited by the goals of the this edit. It hits the mark accurately, most of the chaff has been removed and the heavy editing of Stallone's performance transforms it into one of his strongest — less is most definitely more here. Schneider's character still has a role in the film, but now he is an minor antagonising idiot vs a majorly irritating fool.

The first two thirds of the edit are strong and appropriately emotive, things start to weaken towards end — but that's due to the limitations of the source material not the editing. The final act does it's job and the ending carries much more weight than the original.

All in all a worthy investment of your time.

This edit does an amazing job of rescuing a bland movie, and bringing it closer to the 2012 "Dredd," this edit helps set things right, as little Schneider as possible, Dredd not showing any emotion and loads of tweaks and edits that change the overall viewing experience. It's now more exciting and I felt I could enjoy the film without being bored or annoyed by additional nonsense.
