I think you must have seen both films before watching this edit. It is well done, especially the beginning and ending, the only problem I have found is that sometimes it's not easy to understand when a flashback has started.
This problem would be completely nonexistent for those who have already seen both movies but I had only seen the first one, hence at times I got confused (although I quickly got back on track). The events were realigned in a very interesting way.
Some scenes are laughably bad and cliche, which made me completely disconnect, but that's the film's fault not the edit's.
I have found the ending to be particularly interesting and well done with a juxtaposition of the events between the second and the first film.
All in all it's a good way to enjoy Jurassic park without feeling bloated, especially for those who enjoyed the first series of films.

This was an exciting edit due that these two films had typical “sequel” issues-over bloated, actors who seemed to be coasting etc. This edit really cuts out the bad and leaves the good. I saw and heard no flaws whatsoever and loved the ending. My only issue was that there were too many flashbacks that affected my enjoyment of the narrative. Your mileage might differ.

Aside from my negatives I feel that this is worth your time to watch this. There is so much talent in this edit and this editor has real vision. It was a great and entertaining way to spend an afternoon.

Having not seen any of Job Willin's edits before this one piqued my curiosity. Both of the two new JP incarnations have a multitude of issues and this edit does a great job of jettisoning a lot of the chaff. The flashback structure works very well and the switches between now and 3 years previous are handled very well both visually and narratively for the most part. My only gripe would be that I felt all the flashback should have ended after the Island is destroyed around halfway through the edit. It did feel after that point a bit like I was watching two films at the same time and became a little less coherent narratively for me personally. I'm pretty sure those more familiar with the films may not have that issue though An excellent idea for an edit executed brilliantly for the most part that I'm sure fans of the franchise will enjoy greatly. Great job!

This is my first review. I thoroughly enjoyed this edit. To me, the flashbacks work great.

As a huge fan of both Jurassic World films, I really enjoyed this fan-edit. The way both films are edited together to resemble a flashback narrative that works as an alternative direct sequel to Steven Spielberg's original Jurassic Park is undeniably impressive. I also really appreciated the removal of much of the weaker aspects of both films to further strengthen the characterization of the main protagonists and keep the tonal balance smooth. Great stuff.
