While the original is not one of my more favorite MCU films, I heartily enjoyed how this fanedit was handled - it has a tighter and more coherent story line, which benefited from the new focus on the Accords. More direct exposition in the right places kept things moving very well, as mentioned in the "Changes" section. Audio and Video were very nicely done, as good as anything from a major studio, although there were a couple of places that might have benefited from a little more work on how the music transitioned between scenes, but that is more my taste than any actual problem with lapis molari's work.
Really nice work.

I always liked Civil War a lot but felt Zemo was the weakest part of it. Here Lapis Molari does a great job of cutting back on Zemo, making him more on the level of Crossbones (a product of the Avengers in this world rather than the big mastermind), and putting the geopolitics at the core of what tears the Avengers apart. It gives the film more of a CA: Winter Soldier political thriller vibe (which I LOVE) and makes for a smaller scale, more intimate story between Tony, Steve, and their teammates. Seriously, MUCH BETTER than the original cut, especially with the news stories kicking off the film. I also agree with Zarius that the sudden cut out of Wakanda before we see the glorious view, as well as the fast swipe to Tony at Avengers HQ, were a little jarring. But nothing too damning. Overall this took great Marvel movie and made it REALLY great!

Civil War is already in my top 5 Marvel films. In my opinion, besides some color grading issues, it was flawless (obviously not really but it was really good, okay!) I didn't have a problem with any of the characters, including Zemo. I thought he was a good 'villain', and served his purpose well.

However, this edit is WAY better than the original. Just that little bit of cutting out Zemo and putting the focus back on the Avengers tearing themselves apart REALLY makes a difference in this film. Also, unless I'm misremembering Civil War, there is some regrading that has been done in this edit, which I very much enjoyed, although it did have too much darkness sometimes, in my opinion.

The only reason I can't give the A/V editing a 10 is because I did notice a few jarring switches in audio, and one scene with Zemo in the hotel room that I think should've just been removed completely, given the circumstances.

But, regardless of these small issues, this edit is probably the BEST way to watch Civil War. I highly recommend it.

Thank you for this edit.
I envy the approach to shift the focus back to the avengers and less past driven. I really enjoyed this. Cuts are - from my perspective - flawless.
Only gripe: the audio issue as mentioned by another review
