David Lynch's masterpiece with all deleted scenes reincorporated.
Intention:
To give viewers an extended experience of Blue Velvet.

Two of the deleted scenes I did trim for this edit. It seemed that these two scenes basically had Lynch set up a camera and told the performers to just do whatever. I did include the unaltered versions as a special feature.

2 extended scenes, trailers, easter egg

Great Edit to watch for fun if you love Blue Velvet, but the original is a much better film and all of those scenes don't add much to the overall story or characters, some of them are entertaining but kill the pace of the movie.

If you have never seen Blue Velvet watch the original and if you like it watch the fan edit and then return to watch the original Blue Velvet

45 minutes of deleted scenes added seamlessly into one of the best thrillers ever made and not a single one of them feeling off or out of place; in fact some some of them are great and add a lot to the film especially in terms character motivations, but with all that said, it makes sense why they were cut. This edit is definitely more 'Lynchian' so if that sounds good, then give this a go, but if not just stick to the theatrical cut.

I'll just add my voice to the choir: Q2 has done yet another great service to all us Lynch fans. Ever since getting the original Blue Velvet Blu-ray and watching the 45 minute montage of deleted scenes, I've felt like the disc contained two halves of one whole movie, waiting to be put back together, which is exactly what we have here. Most crucially, Jeffrey's motivations and character, which always seemed underdeveloped in the original cut, are fully on display here, particularly given his rejection by his college girlfriend (the always awesome Megan Mullally). The first hour or so of the film is, as a result, a bit on the slow side, but that's all part of the effect of lulling the viewer into the small town tone and pace before unleashing our favourite nitrous-huffing sex fiend on all of us. Great fun all around, this is the only version of BV you need, and sits wonderfully alongside Q2's other definitive re-cuts of Lynch's ouevre.
