Blade Runner: The Analogue Cut

I don't know how to praise this Blade Runner edit as much as how I feel, but I can only put into words on how I think this has to my be favourite version of any Blade Runner release and I'll be continuing to watch Blade Runner through this version.

The picture and the colours are amazing. The film just looks amazing from start to finish.

The audio and visual edits are professional. I honestly couldn't tell you where they were and that's what makes this a professional edit.

I completely praise the slight changes to the narrative within the film. I'm glad the whole Deckard replicant/human idea is thrown away and I noticed visually that Deckard's eyes no longer glow orange like the replicants. This is a massive positive step for me as Deckard's orange eyes has always been an annoyance of mine. The horrid narration and theatrical ending is discarded, which instantly becomes a positive for any Blade Runner edit. The film just flows so much better with all the changes the editor made.

Overall this is the nearest to perfection that Blade Runner can become. I'm glad with it's presentation. And I'm glad this exists for all Blade Runner fans to enjoy.

I'm not a huge fan of Blade Runner. For me, the music and atmosphere is better than the movie. That said, I felt like watching it again and I really enjoyed this edit. It flowed well and seemed to make the film more coherent than I remember it being in previous viewings. I love that this cut didn't push the replicant angle as I don't think that was the intention of the book or the original theatrical cut. And Ridley Scott is a toss-pot (it rhymes, so it's true).
There were literally only 2-3 cuts/transitions I noticed that seemed a little too quick but this was very minimal and the majority of people wouldn't even notice. Overall the film plays like an official release. Thanks

Masterful edit for those of use who do not need the Unicorn scene (it creates more questions than it answers). A very focused edit that flowed like butta.

Pacing and narrative tightening in this edit were outstanding. So much skill used here, its awesome.

I miss the "shrouded in a fashionably teal fog" (LOL) for the outdoors scenes, as it lends itself to the grittier feel for the shared spaces, but that is personal preference for sure, and I found myself getting close to the screen to see the beautiful indoor sequences.

This is a great Fan Edit. I have always disliked the unicorn scene, not just because Deckard being replicant contradicts most of the rest of the film but also because the scene doesn't match the rest of the film in style (much like the original happy ending). This edit seems to combine the best qualities of both the DC and the FC creating what I would consider to be the best version of the film I have ever seen. I would strongly recommend it.
