Someone managed to make one of DC's best films even better than it already was. How is that even possible?

Well for starters, the editor managed to see what aged well and what didn't, and trimmed the latter. The movie starts out with a great cut, Scarecrow not being arrested. A very simple plot alteration that doubles as both a retroactive continuity fix (though Crane escaping prison in TDKR isn't far fetched) and a way to remove one of the corniest lines in the entire film "I'm not wearing hockey pads!".

That is a very good example of how the editor manages to find what works best within a film.

Overall, this is pretty fucking good. I'd love to see what opinion Christopher Nolan would have of this edit.

For little room for improvement, Ryantology upgrades the second entry of TDK trilogy to another level. This is indeed a fanfix edit. Really few and subtle changes. All removed scenes are done for good and. For my taste, the only one I could feel unnecessary and abrupt in the excision would be the scene of the Batman landing on the scarecrow's car. Besides that, excellent visual testing. Beyond shortening the running time of the film, removal of silly jokes and childish recurrent lines makes a lot of good to achieve this quality level.

Concerning soundtrack rescoring, seamless replacement and great results. Especially, the tumbler persecution and the closing part of the movie shine completely and provide a kind of track variety that maybe the theatrical version lacks. The only downside I found was the need to adjust my TV volume up and down over the viewing in order to understand some characters' voices and the availability of only 2 audio channels. Nevertheless, considering the file size 4,75 Gb is not something to be really picky about.

Narrative and enjoyment scores to the maximum for sure. It is one of my favorite movies and a modern classic. Improving source material when it's already top-notch is a major accomplishment. Congrats Ryantology for having made the ultimate version of "The Dark Knight" and sharing this piece of artwork.

I had the pleasure of watching this at the weekend, I had not seen the Dark Knight in about 2 years as a result of having watched it far too many times over the previous 8 years.

I have to say I liked most of the changes and cuts that were made, there were a few cringe jokes that I've always liked but humor is subjective, with one objective in mind. To make a tighter, more enjoyable film worthy of multiple viewings, Ryantology succeeds.

This is a great edit that maintains a steady pace and doesn't overstay it's welcome.

Tight and serious.
I'm not a fan of the expanded title to be frank, but this is superficial. I feel the re-arrangement of certain scenes work very well and the alternative dialogue takes and music worked well enough I had to check them against the original afterward. It's a little zealous with it's focus on pacing but that approach does serve it's interest best overall - especially during the conclusion which is much improved and smoothly cut. I prefer it to the theatrical release without question.

Very tidy work indeed.

Hadn't watched it in a while and I was struck by Ledger's performance all over again. As if they tried that character on for size again so soon (Leto) and so poorly...laughable man.

I have to say when i was downloading this edit i didn't think you could improve on this masterpiece turns out this guy did it.
I hadn't seen the dark knight in a long time so i watched before this and there are a lot cringe lines and jokes.
By removing them and swapping some scenes you made one hell of a edit 10/10
