I finally watched this edit today, and it was fantastic. The story works much better when it's only dealing with one timeline. I disagree with the reviews saying that it's confusing, I was able to follow it just fine.
One thing I will say, I think it might've been good to see a bit of 2015 so that we can see Doc and Marty going back to 1955, but it's not a big deal.
But yeah, this edit was great. I'm not the biggest fan of the original Back to the Future, it's not bad by any means but I don't see it as the perfect masterpiece that others do. I think this might be my new preferred way to watch these movies to be honest.
I can't think of all the right words, but I like how the time travel was handled, and overall I just really enjoyed watching this.

What could of been a long, boring 6 hour long edit has been turned into a fast-paced, fresh look at the trilogy.

The 1955 segment is the standout for me, seamlessly intergrating 1 and 2 without any harsh cuts.

Starting out with the train from Part 3 is genius, skipping what is arguably the worst part of the trilogy. And also skipping most of the 1985 stuff adds to the fast pace of the edit.

Overall, a great condensed version of the trilogy that twists and turns that is a lot of fun

QuackAtomic's edit is a great cut of the Back to Future series into an interesting and entertaining singular film.

A/V - Very clean. I didn't notice any pixelization at all. Sound was solid.

Visual Editing - Smooth.

Audio Editing - Smooth as well.

Narrative - To start off, I loved the opening disclaimer. It's little things like that, that I really appreciate in fan edits. The redone opening credits look great. The way the story is intertwined and rearranged is phenomenal, especially in combining the 1955 timelines. The pacing was good and the story flowed. The only negative things I can say are, I wish I saw more of 1885 to explain the opening and give a little more backstory and to have either visited 2015 or have the 2015 ending cut completely. That being said, condensing 3 films full of story into 2.5 hour film that still gets it's point across and is enjoyable, is amazing!

Enjoyment - I had a great time watching this edit!

Thanks QuackAtomic! :]X

QuackAtomic has taken what seems like a boring, exhausting journey on paper into something surprisingly fluid and engaging. At just under two and a half hours, he whips you through a fast-paced BTTF tour.
The idea is not merely showing the trilogy in chronological order, or merely to present an approximation of the "final timeline," but to present a mind-bending narrative about these two guys that keep appearing and disappearing throughout time. It works surprisingly well, and QuackAtomic crafts a narrative that generates curiosity at the unexplained weirdness the audience is seeing, which is followed up with just enough exposition at the right time to let us get a sense of what is happening. And even that happens just in time to have a monkey wrench thrown into it by the arrival of a second Doc and Marty.
I found myself genuinely enjoying the experience, which I did not expect from a BTTF edit. QuackAtomic keeps things brief, gutting the 1885, 1985, and 2015 sequences in favor of focusing on the parts that would be most interesting from a chronological perspective and make narrative sense from a non-linear storytelling point of view. Many plot elements and references are trimmed away in order to present a streamlined story that doesn't hint at too many things that it doesn't pay off. It would be fun for me, as someone with an extreme familiarity with these movies, to show this to someone who has never been exposed to them.
For all the creativity of this edit, it does not, however, feel like a fully polished film release in its own right. I don't think someone who came out of a coma they've been in since 1984 would believe that this hadn't been tampered with, but assuming you are sensible and understand that something like this is a fanmade re-edit and are willing to go along for the ride, it works. There are a few moments that don't seem to make dramatic sense, such as the dramatic music when Marty sees his future neighborhood in 1955. It's good that we see it, because we will see it again later, though the music doesn't fit. Also, there are several points where the music has to be creatively edited in order to cut between rearranged sequences. It is not seamless, though there would be NO way to do it flawlessly. That being said, it is not overly jarring, and a necessary byproduct of doing this.
Overall, I recommend this edit to anyone who enjoys BTTF, wouldn't mind seeing some of the trilogy's highlights in one comfortable sitting, and is open to pretending to forget what they already know. Or if you just want to take in a condensed account of the final, 'Eastwood' timeline.

Seeing a childhood favourite recut to something fresh was an exiting prospect and QuackAtomic has created a fun new version to enjoy. I had often imagined seeing the 1955 timelines from films 1 & 2 cut together and this edit satisfies. However, with all the references to the Sports Almanac and old Biff I was expecting to venture into 2015, but that is relegated to a rather jarring final moment before the credits as we see the Doc, Marty and Jennifer arrive in the sky over 2015 Hill Valley. Perhaps it would have been best to leave on the original 'joke' ending of film 1 rather than actually show 2015, or, perhaps with more editing, all reference to 2015 may have been cut altogether. A similar issue arises with 1885 as we open with the train escape and never go back. I was left waiting to return but we never do. Perhaps leaving that opening action sequence out altogether and leaving only an intriguing taste for the old west in the Doc's story at the end on the train would serve to leave us to imagine, similar to the future of 2015. Granted all this would be difficult as the timelines are so intertwined. But as much as I am still left wanting to see a full chronological cut of all 3 films it would be a helluva single viewing, so for this to manage to edit roughly 5 hours down to 2.5 and still be a fun watch is an achievement in itself. Well worth a watch for anyone wanting a fresh take on an old classic we all know so well.
