I have to agree with previous reviews. It's just too confusing. Which is a shame because if told in a linear manner, this could've been great.

I finally watched this edit today, and it was fantastic. The story works much better when it's only dealing with one timeline. I disagree with the reviews saying that it's confusing, I was able to follow it just fine.
One thing I will say, I think it might've been good to see a bit of 2015 so that we can see Doc and Marty going back to 1955, but it's not a big deal.
But yeah, this edit was great. I'm not the biggest fan of the original Back to the Future, it's not bad by any means but I don't see it as the perfect masterpiece that others do. I think this might be my new preferred way to watch these movies to be honest.
I can't think of all the right words, but I like how the time travel was handled, and overall I just really enjoyed watching this.

While this edit has some interesting ideas and the intercutting between BTTF 1 & 2 is impressive, the narrative is incredibly muddled and unclear. It's still enjoyable, because BTTF is great, but telling the story this way doesn't make much sense to me. I feel this could have been a lot shorter if the goal was to highlight the Bootstrap Paradox.

What could of been a long, boring 6 hour long edit has been turned into a fast-paced, fresh look at the trilogy.

The 1955 segment is the standout for me, seamlessly intergrating 1 and 2 without any harsh cuts.

Starting out with the train from Part 3 is genius, skipping what is arguably the worst part of the trilogy. And also skipping most of the 1985 stuff adds to the fast pace of the edit.

Overall, a great condensed version of the trilogy that twists and turns that is a lot of fun

Do you want to make a fan-edit? Are you unsure how far you can push the envelope? Watch this Bootstrap Edition for proof-of-concept. Compliments to QuackAtomic for creating a new experience out of very familiar material.

Editing is technically outstanding. Narrative is,... well, weird. We no longer follow the story from Marty's perspective (going back and forth in time), but chronologically. As outside spectator it feels jumpy to go from 1885 to 1955 to double Marty & Doc to 1985.

This edit doesn't replace the originals, it is an interesting interpretation for fan editors.
