An excellent attempt at bringing Infinity War and Endgame together into one film. There was one scene (the support group) that I wished was kept in, but even then, that didn't take away from my enjoyment one bit. The video quality is great and the editing is top-notch throughout. Fantastic work.

Finally watched it!! Ok, now I understand what all the fuss was about, this edit is goddamn brilliant! It's not without its flaws, but it really doesn't matter, you can overlook them easily.

I had one issue with original Infinity War and two with Endgame. All three were addressed in this edit by 90%. I couldn't believe it! My issue with Infinity War was that it was a very serious movie with a shocking ending, but it had a little bit too many humorous scenes in it that were out of place or the jokes didn't land or both. Not all of them, some were actually funny and well placed. The editor simply eliminated this problem for me with his edit. So, Infinity War, check, fixed!

With Endgame I had the same issue as with Infinity War but here it was simply too much. Too many jokes, too much silliness. The second issue was that it was too long, almost three hours, without a reason. You could easily cut almost half an hour and the editor proved that! Granted, you can't fix fat Thor, but, oh well, it is what it is. To explain, there were times that I would prefer simply ending the Infinity Saga with the Infinity War movie than having to watch Endgame again. Not anymore! Endgame, check, fixed!

Besides the brilliant cuts throughout the edit, I really appreciated the fact that he incorporated the extra scenes from Ant-Man and the Wasp, Captain Marvel etc. at the end of Infinity War so you don't have to watch Ant-Man 2 and Captain Marvel in between the two Avengers. I always thought this was a bad move from Marvel, releasing two very mediocre movies in between the two final Avengers, and I always watched them before the Avengers when I was having an MCU marathon. Now, I can still do it but without "ruining" continuity, I simply don't watch the post-credits scenes in those two films. Also, perfect transition from Infinity War to Endgame!

The reason I do not have a 10/10 in editing is because in some scenes, especially when Guardians find Thor in space, the cut is a little bit abrupt. Still prefer it though to all that ridiculous chattering about Thor's muscles etc.! And there are a couple more that you can kind of tell something was cut, but I seriously do not mind at all.

To be honest, I didn't watch it in one sitting, four and a half hours straight is a bit too much, but it doesn't matter, I just watched the two films separately.

So, as you can understand, I most definitely recommend this edit and unless you are a die-hard-purist-MCU fan, I guarantee you it will be your go-to version in future MCU marathons!

Thank you macmilln for all your hard work and thanks to anyone who read my review!

Having not re watched ANY MCU movies in quite some time, I've decided to re-watch as many as possible as fanedits.
Since this will take quite a while, I decided to start at the end, so that the conclusion is fresh in my mind as I look for all the connections going forward.
So I have started with what is the big finale and frankly, there is very little to give away that this is a fanedit. The excisions made are top notch and not once did I THINK "OOPS, SOMETHING MISSING"...not once...(ish). The audio editing in this is first rate though there were a few occasions where I did need to adjust the volume (no deduction mind you).
It should also be noted that in some of the darker scenes, some compression artefacts were present but I'm watching this on a BIG setup and I would expect most to not notice them, but a larger file may resolve this, but for now I score a 9 here...

As noted in another review, and I went and checked the theatrical material, the excision of Black Widow's discourse with the team after the snap does remove the only explanation as to why Captain Marvel goes AWOL for so long. Also, although the removal of the Group Session therapy was a good move, I do think a slight emotional pause here should have been retained as in the Black Widow Cap America chat before Scott turns up. I do feel that the removal of Scott's scenes at the memorial and then reunion was an excision too far and robbed this bridge of a much needed emotional reflection, though I make no deductions for it. ON a not pick point, the fonts for THREE WEEKS LATER and FIVE YEARS LATER do not match, and it would have been easy to resolve that...again, no deductions for that.

But (back to the positives) the real standout for me was the enhanced snap itself and the importation of the various snap scenes diaspora from other entries creates a bravura sequence of scenes that is far more impactful than the theatrical version and is seamlessly accomplished ( though the pager alignment could be a tad better (but it is very good)...in fact I half expected Fury's "MUTHA_____" line to be completed by sampling another Samuel L Jackson movie...since it is that powerful now (maybe I'll self tweak it...LOL)....

Overall, superb execution technically and this is a great ride which feels just right; frankly THIS will be my GO TO version from here on.

OUTSTANDING and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED....
Next: IRON MAN.

What is left to say about this edit? Nothing really. It’s just great and an 4 hour joyride.

my only issue is a technical one:
- due to compression i’ve seen numerous artifacts in dark areas, but the normal viewer wouldn’t notice them.
