This was a good sequel to the original Avengers. Aside from the Ultron humor, I couldn't tell what jokes were cut. Ultron works a lot better in this edit. He felt darker and it just seems right for the character.

Another thing is this version just didn't feel as weighed down by setting up the next movie as the original did. I need to watch the original again to see if that is just my memory of the movie or not, but I like the flow of this edit.

I think my next MCU re-watch will just be the edited versions of the movies and see how they all work. This is my AoU edit for sure.

Vast improvement over the original! Humour is now well balanced and still feels like a Marvel movie. The addition of the two deleted scenes definetely add to the story. Audio and vidio edition is seamless. My new to-go version for this movie!

This was great. I really loved this edit. The original Age of Ultron had always been a bit of a blemish on the MCU for me. The original version just seemed to be in love with its own dialogue, and Ultron just talked and talked and talked. A villain isn't threatening when they're constantly rambling on. But this edit fixes all of that. It has a great balance between the actual comedy that works and keeping the pacing going. I was surprised towards the end of the film, SPOILERS, when Pietro gets killed, that I actually felt really bad. When I saw the original cut, I didn't care by that point. But this one I actually cared. I also felt like I understood Ultron's motivation, which is something I didn't really understand in the original version. He felt like an actual character this time. Not a caricature.

This was a great edit. It fixes all the issues I had with the film, and made me really appreciate it. Which is what a great fanedit does, it helps you see a great movie underneath. Much appreciated, keep up the good work.

To begin with, I must clarify that I’m not at all a fan of MCU’s sense of humor. It was well-balanced and well-placed till the end of Phase One, but by now it has become repetitive, predictable and too juvenile for my taste. So, even though I’ve already seen the amazing AoU: Extinction Edition by Bobson Dugnutt, with all those creepy deleted scenes (the Norns’ cave, Hulk towering over that little girl and most probably killing her off-screen), any fan-edit that reduces the pesky jokes is always welcome by me. And Kikanator96’s effort is a great one! Starting from Ultron, the editor’s cuts deliver now a much more menacing antagonist who no more cracks a joke every now and then. Take, for instance, the scene where Ultron cuts off Klaue’s arm. Without the quirky, stark-ish attitude, Ultron now really looks like a heartless, sadistic machine, a terminator with contempt for humanity. Moreover, Kikanator96 also removes some non-Ultron scenes that no one will miss (I certainly didn’t!), like those “It was a good talk- No it wasn't" lines when Iron Man breaks into Strucker’s fortress. God, I hate that scene! All cuts are clean and seamless, but I think that the editor should have left the cuttlefish scene intact. It’s a piece of fully whedonized dialogue and it’s cringy, but without any explanation as to why Klaue’s afraid of cuttlefish, something seems really off. Not to mention that even though Pietro taking the candy was removed, we can see him chewing it in his mouth. Other than that, the De-Whedoned Cut is a great fan-edit that vastly improves the original, mainly if you’re not a fan of MCU’s comedic formula. Certainly recommended.

Avengers: Age Of Ultron had a lot of potential when it was first announced. Tony Stark's arrogance causing the creation of an unhinged A.I., introducing Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver, and creating Vision. I was super jazzed for it, especially the casting of the amazing James Spader as Ultron, but felt something was off after I saw it. I enjoyed it enough but never had the urge to put on AOU if picking a random MCU movie.

Kikanator96 did an absolutely great job getting rid of much of the 'Joss Whedonness' that I now see bugged me. Ultron was good as is, but there was strange quips and jokes that just brought down his menacing stature. Kikanator96 restores that and then some by cutting out the crap, making Ultron more cold and determined. That's a TRUE villain right there.

If there's something more I would have preferred it would have been some cuts to the Black Widow/Natasha and Hulk/Bruce Banner romance that came out of nowhere. Making it more about the inklings of romance rather than a 'will they, won't they' thing that was pushed into this movie without prior development. Still, that's more of a nitpick. Overall it's a great edit and replaces the theatrical cut for me.
