Kikanator really got the job done with this edit. I am no expert, but the visual and audio editing appeared flawless. I think this is probably the best overall to-the-point tightened edit of this movie. More specifically, this edit definitely gives us the best version of Ultron. Removing all of his corny dialogue solidifed the character as a proper villain. He is supposed to be a genocidal maniac, and the poor attempts at humor really made me cringe in the theatrical. Was I supposed to take this villain seriously? Great job by the editor here fixing this.

A couple of minor differences I had were that I would have preferred no romance between Bruce and Natasha because it does not every really go anywhere and it was sort of forced. I also would have liked a few extra deleted scenes in addition to the solid ones included. However, the deleted scenes are not essential to the narrative, but I think enhance the enjoyment factor.

The tightening up of the final act is something I also believe was essential. In the theatrical, it felt really dragged out. I still feel that way, but shortening it increases the believeability factor for me. When you have a city floating up into space, you really have to be pressed for time. You cannot keep the action going on forever.

I would like to thank the editor for sharing this edit with me. It was a fun watch. I strongly recommend this edit for those who are looking for a tightened version of this movie with a more serious villain.

This was a good sequel to the original Avengers. Aside from the Ultron humor, I couldn't tell what jokes were cut. Ultron works a lot better in this edit. He felt darker and it just seems right for the character.

Another thing is this version just didn't feel as weighed down by setting up the next movie as the original did. I need to watch the original again to see if that is just my memory of the movie or not, but I like the flow of this edit.

I think my next MCU re-watch will just be the edited versions of the movies and see how they all work. This is my AoU edit for sure.

Avengers: Age Of Ultron had a lot of potential when it was first announced. Tony Stark's arrogance causing the creation of an unhinged A.I., introducing Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver, and creating Vision. I was super jazzed for it, especially the casting of the amazing James Spader as Ultron, but felt something was off after I saw it. I enjoyed it enough but never had the urge to put on AOU if picking a random MCU movie.

Kikanator96 did an absolutely great job getting rid of much of the 'Joss Whedonness' that I now see bugged me. Ultron was good as is, but there was strange quips and jokes that just brought down his menacing stature. Kikanator96 restores that and then some by cutting out the crap, making Ultron more cold and determined. That's a TRUE villain right there.

If there's something more I would have preferred it would have been some cuts to the Black Widow/Natasha and Hulk/Bruce Banner romance that came out of nowhere. Making it more about the inklings of romance rather than a 'will they, won't they' thing that was pushed into this movie without prior development. Still, that's more of a nitpick. Overall it's a great edit and replaces the theatrical cut for me.

Alright, so I just checked out "Avengers: Age Of Ultron - The De-Whedoned Cut", and let me tell you, it's pretty much my go-to version now.

Major props to the Kikanator96 for taking out the forced humor that had me cringing in the original. The movie flows way better without those distractions, letting the serious moments actually land. The pacing is on point now. It feels like you can really get into the story without being yanked around emotionally.

For me, this one is perfect, & if you're like me and would have appreciated a movie more focused on the heavy stuff the Avengers deal with, this is the version of "Age of Ultron" you've been waiting for!

This was great. I really loved this edit. The original Age of Ultron had always been a bit of a blemish on the MCU for me. The original version just seemed to be in love with its own dialogue, and Ultron just talked and talked and talked. A villain isn't threatening when they're constantly rambling on. But this edit fixes all of that. It has a great balance between the actual comedy that works and keeping the pacing going. I was surprised towards the end of the film, SPOILERS, when Pietro gets killed, that I actually felt really bad. When I saw the original cut, I didn't care by that point. But this one I actually cared. I also felt like I understood Ultron's motivation, which is something I didn't really understand in the original version. He felt like an actual character this time. Not a caricature.

This was a great edit. It fixes all the issues I had with the film, and made me really appreciate it. Which is what a great fanedit does, it helps you see a great movie underneath. Much appreciated, keep up the good work.
