Review Detail

From my perspective, the first TASM was always a good movie with its own interesting take on Spidey. It's grounded in terms of tone and story theme, but still manages to retains much aspects that makes Spidey, well..... Spidey. But admittedly, there's parts of the movie that are objectively bad which affects the overall pacing and narrative flow. For example: The revenge subplot. I always felt it was a good idea to have a subplot where Peter's personality and morals can be tested, but unfortunately what we got in the TC was just too overlong and bloated. Your version easily fixes the problem by removing it, making the the narrative more cohesive and seamless. You also did some cuts here and there to remove the edgier part where Peter acts like a jerk and out of character, that's a plus and makes Peter more relatable right from the start.
