Brief Synopsis:
I added several deleted scenes and promos to provide more time spent with the humans (and androids) and removed several scenes and appearances of the aliens either because I didn't find the CGI convincing or felt excessive screen time diminished their impact.
Intention:
I really enjoyed the theatrical versions of the 2 Alien prequel films, especially the ways they differ from the original series. When I saw all the extra material released for Covenant, I felt much of it could enhance the film and felt it would be a good starting project.

Editing Details:
The aspects of Covenant that leaned more into being like the original Alien films and less like Prometheus were my least favorite. After viewing some extended fanedits, I felt the added scenes really helped pull it back towards Prometheus, so I started to put together my own preferred cut. After adding in most of the deleted scenes and promos and removing or trimming many alien scenes, I took a look at how these changes changed the film as a whole. Making use of great feedback and advice, I dialed back and tuned several of these changes to find the right balance and increase my personal enjoyment of the film while meeting the expected standard of an approved fanedit.

This is an excellent fan cut. The story is streamlined, and the pieces fit together better than in the original release. The reduction of some of the alien swarm scenes actually lends much more tension to the film. A very enjoyable edit, and one I definitely recommend.

catferoze did an excellent job incorporating the deleted scenes seamlessly and maintaining surround sound. Further, the trims and cuts to the xenomorphs were also done seamlessly. There are still plenty of aliens and blood here, not to worry. Now there's a better feeling of tension and mystery. Well done!! Below are my detailed explanations for each sub-rating:

Audio/Video Quality: 8 stars. Very good quality. Some dark scenes had slight artifacts.
Visual Editing: 9 Stars. 100% seamless cuts. Well done. The way the Walter promo was added during the credits, with the credits shrinking down to it's own little box, did not feel like something that would have been in an official film release. It felt like when networks add their own commercials to credits and basically make them unreadable. Perhaps, visually, this should have been it's own post credits scene.
Audio Editing: 10 Stars. 100% seamless cuts and transitions. Maintains the feeling you are watching the real film not a fanedit. Further, the 5.1 surround is maintained!
Narrative: 9 Stars. The deleted scenes which were added enhance the film with added character development.
Enjoyment: 9 Stars. Much improved over the theatrical release. The trims to the xenomorphs made this a better movie as well!!!
