Brief Synopsis:
The "All Your Gifts at Once Edition" takes the 4 scattered stories and puts each one together so that you can experience them in their entirety before moving on to the next one.
Intention:
One particular story I was not super interested in, but I hated that I had to keep coming back to it and then when things were getting good with another story I had to wait to come back to that. I get that it all takes place over one day, but hopefully the way I pieced the segments together you see that they do have a little overlap.
Release Information:
Digital
Editing Details:
The film uses Dynamite Dan as a bridge between each story. Here is the new order:

1. The three kids in the school
2. The family and the changeling
3. The family vs. Krampus
4. Santa vs. zombie elves
Cuts and Additions:
Less than a minute was cut from this just to help with streamlining the stories.

I am not the biggest fan of the original film, I think it's a little bit too confused and lack of clarity. But this edit is really really good! It does not make the movie perfect, but it's a new vision that pleases me more. In this edit, the movie is more like a "Christmas Trick R' Treat", with separate stories. Thanks to the editor for this version!

Overview - The original Christmas Horror Story was quite a bouncy affair, four storylines weaving back and forth throughout. MusicEd aims for a more traditional anthology style.

Video - 1920 X 1080p AVC. The look is good. There has been substantial work here, reassembling disparate scenes into one narrative, or rather four narratives. No problems. NOTE : PAL format.

Audio - 384 kbps AAC, 2 Channel stereo. No subs. There is plenty of dialogue in every chapter. Voices were clean throughout, so subs were not necessary, at least not for me.

Narrative - Solid. Using Shatner (DJ Dangerous Dan) as an interconnecting element is a wise move. It is also done better here than in the original. Better. Personally, I think chapters 2 and 3 should be switched. There is a callback reveal in #3 that, to me, should have been sorted. Also, #3 and #4 are the most action driven episodes and I believe the film would have breathed better had they been switched.

Enjoyment - OK, let’s get to the elephant first. The filesize is 10.9 GB! Really? Bring this thing down, please. Noted, move on.
I really liked this a lot. More people should see this, especially during the season. C’mon guys, quit watching all your Hallmark favorites.
I would watch this every year, especially if I could burn it. Great job, MusicEd, rousing fun.

Thank you so much! I'm glad that FINALLY someone watched this lol! I knew what I was tackling was a rarity for people to watch, but I had hopes it would grab someone during the holiday season.

You're right about the file size being HUGE. I just didn't want it to lose any quality and it was before I started using Handbrake. It's been so long since I looked back at this that I'll have to look at it again in regards to your suggestions.

I appreciate the feedback and glad to finally have some for this edit. Not many know of this little gem unfortunately as it gets lost among some other more well known (and also well done) films like Krampus and Black Christmas.
